The fourth chapter is based on Schuman's piano cycle op. 16, Kreisleriana.
Masterpiece composed for his beloved wife, Clara, as a tribute to Chopin and inspired by Kreisler, the eccentric and imperceptible kappelmeister of Hoffman's Tales.

Scenes of a woman's life
The third Schumann chapter is based on the Lieder cycle, Frauenliebe und leben, op. 42 .Cycle of life and death: where death ends up to be a new beginning.
Texts (from Schuman's diary) , extracts of Schuman's piano cycles (OP.17; 9 and 12) and video serve the musical dramaturgy.

Robert Schumann has long hesitated between two careers – writing and composing – before choosing to devote himself entirely to music.
As an introduction to this first project devoted to Schumann, we will bring together pieces from his Kinderzenen op. 15 and extracts from his correspondence and private journal. We will end the evening with the quintet for piano and strings op. 44.
